Ingredients
For the dough
- 1 empty yogurt cup and add sunflower oil almost to the top
- 2 cups of all purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of salt
For the filling inside
- 1/2 a yogurt cup crushed feta cheese or philadelphia
- 1 teaspoon of yogurt
- 1 egg
- Little black pepper
- 1 tablespoon of freshly cut peppermint
Preparation
- Put in a bowl all the ingredients of the dough and mix together with your hands to make a dough. Then let it aside and cover it with a towel for 30 min
- Then in another bowl mix the feta , egg , little yogurt, pepper and peppermint and leave it aside.
- After 30 min take some dough in your hands and make a small ball ( if its sticky add some flour in your hands)
- Then make a flat surface and add 1/2 a teaspoon of filling . Then cover it and make the dough like a half moon shape (as in the picture and close the ends with a spoon.
- Preheat the oven to 180 c.
- Take a tray and place some backing paper and then place the cheese- pies not very close to each other.
- Add on each pie some melted butter with a brush .
- Then place the tray in the middle of the oven and bake them for 25 min until they turn light brown on top.
- Take them out , close the oven after the 25 minutes and let them cool for 10 min before you eat them .
They are truly delicious and easy to take along to school, on trips or for friends!
